DerbyshireFootball.com has been created by sports journalist Mark Duffy, who has covered sport in the county since 2005 for numerous local newspapers including the Derbyshire Times, Ilkeston Advertiser, Matlock Mercury and Ripley & Heanor News, being particularly immersed in the local football scene in the process and covering everything from Derby County at Wembley to the fortunes of Ilkeston Town and beyond.

 

With the help of numerous contributors, this site will bring you news from across the county's footballing spectrum, as well as match reports, live feeds, opinion columns from fans and journalists, fixtures and results and more.

There is also scheduled to be a regular podcast running alongside the site, hosted by Mark and local radio journalist Joshua Smith and featuring contributions from many local footballing figures and supporters.
