Matlock Town part company with boss Phillips
Paul Phillips has left his role as Matlock Town manager by mutual consent.
Phillips has been in charge at the Proctor Cars Stadium since 2020, and guided the Gladiators to the NPL Premier Division play-offs at the end of last season.
However, his side have struggled for form so far this campaign, with just two wins from their opening give games, and a club statement revealed Phillips had left his role on Thursday.
In the statement, club chairman Jay Beaumont said: "I would personally like to convey mine and the committee's thanks for all the hard work Paul Phillips has done in his time at the club.
"We wish Paul and his family all the best for the future. The club is presently working hard to appoint Paul's successor and we'll be making no further comment at the present time."
