Derby County bring in promising Fiorentina striker Duncan

Derby County believe they've captured a star of the future after signing 19-year-old striker Bobby Duncan from Fiorentina.

The England youth international has penned a three-year deal at Pride Park, initially joining up with Darren Wassall's U23 squad but expected to push for a first team place before too long.

And having spent a year in Florence in La Viola's academy side, scoring four times in 12 games, Duncan is being tipped to impress back on home soil having initially come through the youth setups at Wigan, Manchester City and then Liverpool.

Academy director Wassall told RamsTV: "Bobby is a player with plenty of potential and we are delighted that he has chosen to join Derby County.

“Initially, Bobby will join our Under-23s squad. Like with any other player in our academy set-up, if they perform both in training and in matches then there is a pathway at this club to progress to the first-team.”
