Derbyshire Ladies League - Mickleover storm to the top
Division One is already developing into an intriguing competition, with none of the teams that have played more than once remaining unbeaten.
Mickleover took over at the top with an emphatic 5-0 win at Ilkeston Town Development, Beth Jones continuing her rich vein of goal scoring with another hat-trick.
Wirksworth Colts missed the chance to go clear at the top when their winning start to the season was brought to a halt by Belper Town, opening their account for the campaign with a 4-1 win
The game between Draycott and Chesterfield was close throughout, with both teams having spells in which they were on top, but Draycott always looked the most likely to score and two second half goals were enough to secure their first win of the season.
The game between SK Vipers and Pride Park was postponed.
The Division Two games were all close affairs, with narrow wins for University of Derby, Sandiacre Town and Sleetmoor United, against Vipers, Chesterfield Inspire Blues and Belper Town Development respectively, whilst Castle Donington v Matlock and Hilton Harriers' game with Woodlands Reserves ended in draws.
